On Karsten Solheim

I did this painting of Mr. Karsten Solheim in the late fall of 1999. It was only a couple months later that he passed away.

Karsten accomplished so much in his life from the invention of the rabbit ears to missile guidance systems, to his famous putters and subsequent irons. He and his lovely wife Louise raised a wonderful family of devoted children, who still run the family business with the same healthy philosophy that Karsten instilled in them.

The Solheim family remains one of my favorite living examples of what a family can become.
